Introduction

I wanted somewhere to write in more depth than a LinkedIn post allows, so I built myself a corner of the internet. I hope to make weekly posts about the progress of projects I’m working on, discussing technologies I’ve learnt and made use of, the processes I’d followed, and hardships along the way. The occasional Formula One post may also come through; I follow the sport closely enough to have built a stats platform and a car-detection model around it, so there’s usually an opinion on strategy brewing. Same goes for hardware: between running a small PC repair business and tinkering with my own builds, I pick up the odd lesson worth sharing on diagnostics, upgrades, and the occasional rant about the sorry state of the components market.
I’ll try to keep posts practical rather than just text walls. Expect tables for comparisons and benchmarks, screenshots and diagrams where a picture explains it faster than I can, code samples for anything worth copying, and links back to references or docs for anyone who wants to go deeper.
Next up is a look at the Formula One statistics website. It’s already pretty deep, so I’ll be focusing on progress from the circuits page: what’s working, what’s been painful to build, and the bits I’m still not happy with.
If something here is useful, broken, or worth discussing, my projects are viewable on GitHub, and my LinkedIn is always around.
